AARPIn February 2005, Walgreens became one of 13 companies to join the AARP's National Employer Team. Walgreens' AARP program promotes employment opportunities to workers age 50+ by connecting them to employers who value the skills and abilities of mature workers.
Since joining this program, Walgreens has experienced a significant increase in the number of workers age 50+ hired at our retail locations. Employment opportunities for mature workers are promoted on a dedicated webpage on Walgreens.com. This year Walgreens attended the annual AARP member convention in Anaheim, CA where we promoted wellness programs along with employment opportunities.
